I love walking around the floor of dental meetings like the Hinman with this crap.  If any of it were true by the time you were done walking the floor you would be producing about 300% more than you are now and taking home about 90% of it.

My favorite one was last year.  I was looking at dental units.  One off brand guy sat me down and showed me how his unit was laid out.  He then informed me that his company had conducted a study showing that dentists grab their handpiece x number of times per patient visit.  And because his unit had the hand piece a certain distance closer to you that your production was projected to go up by about 15% because of the time/energy savings of reaching for your drill.

I could not contain myself and actually laughed in front of him.  He got a little upset at me.  I am sure it had been a long meeting given that was his sales pitch.
