Ø The tester supports quality assurance programs and processes in alignment with QA strategy. Ø The tester is responsible for providing feedback on artifacts developed during requirements and analysis phase within client projects; authoring test plans and test cases; and performing test execution for both project and support related activities.
Essential Job Functions:
Ø Must be self-driven. Must know how to design and execute test Ø Join testing team along-side vendor testers on the TIBCO CIM tool Ø Agile Scrum methodology - Work within various test methodologies such as agile Ø Create QA Task List in order to meet objectives and deadlines Ø Participate in Requirement & Design Doc review session; evaluate requirements & design docs from a quality testability standpoint Ø Create Detailed Test Cases for full requirement coverage/traceability Ø Execute Test Cases to validation correct functionality of application Ø Manage test coverage based on risk analysis Ø Document defects and evaluate priority of defect based on overall application functionality Ø Coordinate Test Case Reviews with stakeholders are being held as appropriate. Ø Perform various types of testing including white box, black box, integration, back-end DB validation, system testing as needed Ø Adhere to requirement review, defect writing & test case writing guidelines Ø Coordinate testing efforts between 3rd party testing team. Ø Keep Lead Tester informed of current state of quality and test progress Ø Ensure completion of all deliverables within schedule, budget and quality constraints. Ø Participate in Root Cause Analysis sessions Ø Ensure that projects follow prescribed software development life cycle standards. Ø Develop and maintain good relationships with project team. Ø Identify obstacles and roadblocks; and offer suggestions to work around obstacles
Requirements:
Ø The ideal candidates should possess: Bachelor's degree in IS or related equivalent work experience in an Information Systems position and 3-5 years of experience in job duties. Experience in discipline of functional testing. Understanding of regression testing techniques Skills Description Exp. (Yrs) ERP implementation test experience is highly desired 2+ Ø ETL test experience 2+ Ø Agile SDLC exposure - Understanding of steps within test process under agile 3+ Ø Understands focus of various testing types: black / white box, unit, integration, system, user acceptance, etc. 3+ Ø Experienced in requirement & design doc reviews – ability to evaluate requirements & design docs from a quality testability standpoint 3+ Ø Ability to work with BA & Development to clarify requirements and design ability to write defects and evaluate priority of the defect based on overall application functionality 3+ Ø Understands relationship of Requirements to testing 3+ Ø Ability to effectively and frequently interact with Business Analysts, Technical Leads, and Architects 3+ Ø Able to analyze and specify test environment requirements 1+ Ø Understands release management procedures 1+ Ø Manages testing effort to typical project constraints: budget, schedule, environment, etc. 3+ Ø Ability to work towards and meet deadlines – good self time management skills 3+ Ø Able to establish and drive requirements testability and traceability 3+ Ø Articulates gaps found in requirements and escalates associated risks 3+ Ø Conducts / facilitates / drives quality risk analyses 1+ Ø Ability to estimate work based on quality risk 1+ Ø Experience documenting detailed test plans 3+ Ø Provides relevant QA feedback to software design 1+ Ø Strong test case modeling / design experience 5+ Ø Effective at verbally validating planned test scenarios with technical and business stakeholders 3+ Ø Synchronizes test design activities with development design activities 3+ Ø Ability to prioritize test case creation based on risk 3+ Ø Ability to manage test case coverage based on risk 3+ Ø Ability to coordinate testing efforts between 3rd party testing party 3+ Ø Able to identify critical test artifacts from repository for unique purposes (i.e., smoke test, regression, etc) 3+ Ø Strong communication skills 3+ Ø Drives test execution: prioritization, communication, pacing 3+ Ø Understands / communicates relationship between test execution and software build deployments 2+ Ø Coordinate / communicate software build deployments to test environment, including planning, prioritization, content, and results 2+ Ø Able to prioritize testing by relative risk 3+ |
