RE: [ACEsthetics] Implant info

The purpose of either is not to be intimidating or to work for a single
brand of implant. The purpose is mrs. Jones shows up in your office with a
damaged or unrestored implant and when asked about who placed it and which
implant it is replies with a big fat "I dunno!" You can then reference
these sites which are in essence a collection of radiographic outlines and
characteristics so you can at least narrow down to which fixture it is so
you can get parts.

One caveat and I would encourage those of you new to implantology to do the
same. As you know, each implant comes with multiple stickers in the
package. Obviously one always gets affixed to the chart. We ALWAYS take a
2nd one, affix it to the back of one of my business cards, give it to the
patient with instructions to keep it in their wallet for all eternity in
case a situation like we described come up. They have all the information
they need to get it handled. Remember the average hombre moves every 5 to 7
years, hopefully our implants are going longer than that. And as a bonus,
they always have your card available in case someone they know expresses an
interest in dental implants.

Thank you both for posting....both sites look great. I think the one Kathy
posted looks less intimidating for dentists who are just getting into
implants or even dentists who have worked almost exclusively with one
system. These sites should be bookmarked in ACE Dental World! Thank you
both, again! Debbie
