Re: Massa Sam Esale /// Thank You

Massa Sam
You have talked like a real man pikin BUT First let them come and take the Bed. I don't know of any sleek smooth fast talking auction sales men in Alabukam who will toum that fancy electric bed.
A friend of mine wanted to open a dialysis center in Douala. The Chinese company manufacturing the equipment and other components asked my man to send the Nurses for a two week training at their Shenzhen factories. My man arranged for four Nurses to attend the training. They got to Guang Zhou International Airport...and the "Nurses" simply disappeared into thin air...till today.
So you have to be careful when you mention the word "Training". Remember the last Olympics?
Not to worry about electricity. Have you ever asked yourself why there is virtually no SONEL Power Failure in Bamenda? BICOS...Bamenda peepoo get JAZZ. There is one Pah Takwa Munwihtingoro who is an expert at "stopping Rainfall" during VIP "Cry Die"...like when an important Pah or Mammie whose children are in America, London, Germany...in short MBENGE...dies. That is a very HOT and IMPORTANT Die (where people refuse to drink their usual Mbuh, Shah, Kwacha, Nkang, Afofo, Werekum Overnite Tumbu, Akembe Federale; but will gravitate to expensive new wines, liquors and if wata pass garri, dem go manage 33 export). Pah Takwa will invite himself and will neutralize Thunder and disturbing Rainfall. It is the same with Electricity. Even Fon Angwafor himself is capable of generating electricity when he wears a special Kontri clothes...so diafor...that Electric Bed will be placed at Alabukam Health Center whether weather. Have you ever asked yourself how Chaiman of SDF used to "Catch" Live bullets with his bare hands? I was present in a "Rally" in Yaoundé when an angry Beti guy burst into the crowd and fired straight at the "Chairman" and in front of my own "Koro Koro" eyes, the "National Chairman" caught all the bullets and showed it to the cheering and excited crowd who started chanting...Papa elley Ya Ya Yo...PAWA TO THE PEEPOO bicos today Suffer Don Finish 4 Kamalloon...Brrrrew Jay !!! One Tam  !!! GO.

SAF,

Please, I would make sure that the Alabukam Health care center has a strong generator, continuous funding and a pledge of technical support, to power and maintain this fancy bed, before we start giving Sir. Mishe Fon the title of a "pillar." At least, lets first make sure the thing works.

Secondly, if the bed is worth that much as estimated, then I would sell it at the auction and use the money, to purchase at least 200 "vono" beds with "dunlop" mattresses for the entire health care center. You can use the remainder of the dough from the sale to train one or two nurses to run the centre or connect a water supply line to the center or dig an under ground water well for the project. That's when you can award Sir. Mishe Fon the title he has earned or at the ribbon cutting ceremony.

I personally don't think that an electric fancy bed donated by Mishe Fon is worth anything until you sell it for the face market value and use the money to reach some of your most urgent needs or goals for the local community in Mankon, i.e. beds, trained nursed, energy supply, clean water supply, sanitation needs, medical testing kits for blood, urine, saliva etc. including other preventive care supplies and personnel or additional land and buildings for expansion.

You see, when we discuss sustainable development in Health Care for instance, 200 vono beds would  add more value to your efforts than a single fancy, electric bed that might end up in the hallway as decoration when it falls apart and there's no money for repairs. As a second hand or used bed, it might end up costing the center too much unanticipated expenses in repairs, energy and technical support. And it might serve no other purpose than satisfy the conspicuous appetite of our local corrupt politicians or leaders who prey on such luxury items or good of conspicuous consumption. If you really  want to look out for the poor or those who have been cast aside to the margins of society, then your effort must target their needs and aimed at getting the most bang for every aid or assistance received in cash or kind, without generating unnecessary noise or publicity. It is not good for Public Relations and too silly for any future campaigns to raise funds.

As a matter of fact, I also find it sad that we are making a mockery of Rev. Awasom's generous donation to this great cause. Sometimes, it is good for the right hand NOT to know what the left is doing. Shame on us to play the fool even in jest.

My point about the fancy bed is that you want to make sure your objectives are adaptable to the target environment, without placing additional strain burden onto your budget in the future, since you can not predict the level of financial assistance you'll receive over the next 5-10 years and beyond. That is what sustainability is all about, especially when it comes to technology and adaptation. The company, Ntonifor & Sons. makes coffins and they are NOT in the business of repairing fancy electric beds. Lets Keep It Simple and Make the project manageable and sustainable. It takes more than childish excitement to complete a meaningful project, with a lofty goal like this one.

Sango Samuel-King Etongwe will tell you more about this kind of stuff related to community organization. Like some of us, he has been to the top of the mountain and has seen it all.

We wish you the best.

Camnet Family,

The man I once challenged, in a moment of hot angry words, as bringing shame to the title "reverend" has walked the talk. We need to applaud his generosity, not mock it.

By the way, if the Bible teaches us that we sin also by thought, does it not follow that the Rev. Jonathan has done good by the mere thought? "Whether check clear or not, no matta no small".

I applaud my brother, Mishe Fon, for following a good act without another and I hereby pledge $100 in support of Rev. Jonathan. My check (don't ask if it will clear) will be on the way once SAF tells me where to mail it.

The joke is on us if supporters of development on Camnet fail to help mobilize less than $1,000 in support of Rev. Jonathan.

I am not going to turn a noble cause into a back and forth argument.Let us respect noble initiatives like this one, and keep our jokes out of serious community and life saving initiatives. Are you employed by this organization to check which check passes through and which doesn't? Let this joke ends where its starts. Do not expect me to respond any further.

Dear Mr. Agbor the issue is not the amount Awason wrote on the check. That is irrelevant. My reservations is the check clearing the Federal Reserve. On the other hand I noticed you appended the title of "Dr". infront of Awasom. Hmmmmmmm! Are you for real?

Dear Mr. Michael Lesong,
We might make jokes on Camnet, but the line we shouldn't cross,is making mockery of philanthropic individuals who feel pretty strongly that it is important to give back to their communities.Riches is how fulfilled you feel as an individual, and not the amount of money you have in the bank,or the kind of job you do.

Reverend Awasom like me and you has gone through a lot of good stuff, and a lot of bad stuff, but it takes a fulfilled mind to get active in non-profit and charitable activities. He has proven that you must not have a million dollar in the bank to support a wonderful cause like this one.

Thank you Dr. Reverend Awasom, your contribution will go a long way to cure the sick and afflicted in the Mankon localities.

Have you seen "CHECK" somewhere in the message announcing the $400 donation of Rev Awasom Mr. Michael Lesong?

Am sitting here and wondering why all the thank you's. Oh, is it because Awasom gave a $400 check towards Alabakum Health Center? Word of advise: why don't you hold off on your Thank You's till the said $400.00 check clears. Issuing a check is 1 thing and funding is another. Hold your breath.

Thank you very much Rev. Awasom for your $400 donation.  It will go a very long way to supporting the actualization of the Alabukam Health Center Project.  We saw a video of the health center and it is in very deplorable condition.  We are making an appeal to all Cameroonians and friends of Cameroon to help us rebuild and equip this health center.  Some people, after watching the video, doubled their donation.  No words can describe what we saw on the video.  If you are reading this mail and can spare a few dollars, please visit the following site and pitch in you donation.  Any little amount will be greatly appreciated:
