The overall conclusion by the distinguished panelists was that this ACCDF initiative should be continued. The ACCDF was encouraged to continue the daunting task of Education and rigorous Information dissemination. Coincidentally, our partner Organizations, The African Women Cancer Awareness Association (AWCAA) and Patcha Foundation had planned a Medical Mission to Cameroon with similar objectives.
The Board of ACCDF, during a meeting on May 18th 2013, overwhelmingly voted for the participation as an integral member of this laudable initiative. In my capacity as Chairman, I will be leading the ACCDF delegation to Cameroon to support the objectives of the Medical Mission. The ACCDF representatives to this mission include Chairman Emeritus, Mr. Ivo Tasong; ED Emeritus, Bah Boni Chungong, and Director of Outreach, Mr. Richard Mbakop.
The ACCDF leadership received several requests from the Cameroonian community to move the Cameroonian Cultural Festival date from the month of June. There are many family-related activities taking place in the month of June, especially graduation ceremonies.
In view of the aforementioned, the ACCDF wishes to announce to the entire Cameroonian community that our annual Cultural Festival that was planned for June 15th 2013, has been postponed to Fall of this year.
Please don't be left out. The cultural festival for this year promises fireworks. Awards will be handed out for originality and performance.
Thanks and see you in the fall.
Justine Mbianda
Chairman, ACCDF
