Re: [MTC Global] Confusion over MBA Admission 2013-14 Batch

Dear Prof Datta
The AICTE was wrong in arrogating to itself the power to impose one and only admission test
from this year(without examining the implications and problems) and that too from the AICTE ,
the CMAT which was conducted twice this year in Feb and May. The CMAT hardly covered 10 to
15% of the total MBA aspirants in this country. And with all State governments cancelling
their entrance exams this year , the prospects for MBA aspirants and the colleges look bleak
this year. However I am sure states will find a solution. The Karnataka Private Management
Colleges Association for instance is conducting the KMAT test for students seeking admission
to the Management quota in MBA colleges. This year they have gone to the Karnataka High Court
and got permission to conduct the KMAT test in July 2013, much to everyone's relief. Similar
things will happen in all the states. The colleges can even take the MAT test scores of the
AIMA, which is still conducting the tests regularly.

The SC has shown AICTE its place. We need a regulatory body, not a Super Arrogant body

Request clarity on the subject as many colleges are writing mail to us on the subject.
