Job Title:        Java Developer (Production Support)

Location:        Wilmington, DE

Length:          1 year contract

Interview: Phone then face to face  (Not negotiable. NO SKYPE. MUST be willing to come in for a in person interview)

NOTE FROM MANAGER:  Make sure candidates know this is a heavy production support position. 70% production support and 30% new development  Must have great troubleshooting skills. Must have experience working in a SOA environment . Also the reason these positions are open is that other application development teams pull from our team. Our team gets to learn also the systems so managers like to pull from us. So there is the opportunity to move on to other teams.

Looking for folks with very strong communication skills, enjoys collaborative learning, remains calm and focused during escalations, and enjoys problem solving.  On call pager support is required about 1 week per month.  The Java support issues are often directly customer impacting, which requires a sense of urgency as well as a strong comfort level with engaging our business involvement for quick resolution.  Experience in production support, Wiley, ITIL process, and leading small teams are all a plus!
