Java with Spring Expert

Duration 1-2.5 years contract
Interviews will be held within 24-48 hours of submittals. They have times set aside right now for Monday and Tuesday of next week.
We have a project going on with State Farm that we need 5 high level Java developers to go to work on the 17th or at latest the 24th of June.

Must Haves:
Minimum 8-10 years of experience is required
Java 6
Deep experience with Spring to include:
Spring 3.1
Spring Model View Controller (MVC)
JavaServer Pages (JSP)
Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services
Collaborates with team members to solve complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions
Interact well with other technical team leaders such as architects, and other IT professionals in order to accomplish the business goal

This is an extremely exciting opportunity, as Client is in the initial phases of building this team. These 5 individuals will be the first 5 on the entire team. This team is going to act similar to a start up company within Client. They will break the team up into small 5 or 6 person teams and let them go to develop new platforms, applications, services and enhancements. This team will run in tandem with other Client teams to help in one of the largest software / platform development projects in the world.

Client is establishing a new development team of highly skilled Java Developers with experience building enterprise web applications and services in support of critical
business transactions. They will be working in an opensource stack environment that is very heads down development focused. They will be responsible for new platform development as well. Competitive candidates are responsible for the development and advancement of both internal facing (company) and external facing (customer) business applications. Furthermore, successful candidates demonstrate exceptional strong decision-making skills, possess high initiative, extremely well organized, good interpersonal, and a commitment to quality.
