Computers who brought back Steve Jobs. Mr K V Kamath has been responsible for the
growth path strategy of ICICI and I believe it not his Financial Acumen which
however good it may be that delivered ICICI's performance but its aggressive
market driven organization and its embracing the cutting edge technology. I think,
there was a felt need to change directions and reinvent Infosys for which Mr K.V
Kamath was brought in. For starters Infosys is cash rich, it does not do any
market promotion and seldom talks about its solutions but the fact is that its
brand has been built by its shareholders and its customers who have reposed faith
in the skill and the competence of Infosys to deliver its solutions.
In the software field, the world changes at a dizzying speed and old ways for new
problems are as likely to fail as new and uncharted ways to solve new problems.
Perhaps, Mr Narayana Murthy may be just the person to turn the company around but
after a long innings at Infosys, he deserves a well earned rest.

weather conditions and turn it around to its earlier glory.

It sounds great. Hope, Infosys will be on the growth track again. He holds good
number of shares in Infosys as a founder member hence the salary is not relevant.
But definitely, he will be entitled for all other fringe benefits amounts to few
lakhs / crores.
