Re: [ACEsthetics] In office tooth whitening

we do that too (but rarely give it away) but the results are nothing like KöR.

SO.....

we say "this will be nothing like KöR".

if they are happy with the cheap shit I give for free or very cheap, then cool.  I don't care.  If I had worked them over and GOT them to pay $1300 for KöR, they likely would feel it wasn't any better than if they used "regl'r stuff".  Buyers remorse sucks, and "I" end up paying for it.

but the RESULTS with KöR are unmatched.  AND....  it lasts for YEARS.  the savings in redoing the other cheaper ways adds up.

it IS a lot of work.

so we send out the lab part.

I give away home whitening and I only rarely do in office.  Kor was too much work for me and it was hard getting people to see the value in dropping 1k when we give away home whitening.

Also, I NEVER guarantee whitening results the way I can guarantee veneers or ortho, etc..  Whitening is good but it can be capricious, at least in my hands.

People might spend the grand if they got guaranteed results.

But hey, if you guys are working it then all the power to you.

we pretty much ONLY do KoR.

we "offer" the other stuff, only by request.  I SO undersell everything else that they can never come back with buyers remorse or feel entitled to free trays and swag.  I can honestly say each and every time, "I TOLD you so. I was a broken record on how disappointed you would be, yet you didn't believe me.  So THERE....."

I do offer half their investment towards KoR should they choose to upgrade.

But nobody is EVER disappointed with KoR.  But it IS expensive and time consuming, so I don't whiten as often as the office that gives it away for free "for new patients".  which is fine.

Does anybody still do in-office bleaching? I gave it up many years ago after finding myself giving trays and gel to all the in-office patients because of unimpressive results. In office tx evolved from stand alone tx to becoming a jump start. At that point it just wasn't worth the chair time. Now the zoom rep has offered to trade my old Britesmile light, which is now a tissue box stand, for a new zoom light if I buy a bunch of kits. Does anybody use zoom?
Thanks,
