The Hadoop Administrator is responsible for the enterprise-wide administration of the Hadoop infrastructure as it relates to a Big Data Ecosystem. Responsibilities include Hadoop administration, database administration, architectural design, development, integration, and support.

Guidance to less experienced DBAs for ongoing process improvement is also emphasized. The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

PRIMARY SKILLS

 Senior Hadoop Administrator Responsibilities:Design, Configure and manage  Hadoop cluster and eco-system Monitor Hadoop cluster job performance and capacity planningHadoop cluster connectivity and security Participation in support for 7x24 Big Data Environment Software installation and configuration Software patches and upgrades Troubleshoot and resolve Issues EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience Hands-on experience with multi-terabyte Hadoop/MapReduce Infrastruct
