Job Description:
Our Boston based client is currently seeking a talented Senior QA Analyst. This QA Analyst will work under the general direction of the Quality Assurance Manager and will architect, manage and execute manual and automated test plans for the client's applications. In this role, the QA Analyst will be acting as an essential link in the project development lifecycle and will work closely with the QA Manager, Developers, Business Analysts and other QA staff to ensure that business requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
• Creates comprehensive test plans with well defined, reusable test cases from business requirements and functional specifications documents.
• Executes software testing to include functional testing, system testing, regression testing, and performance testing.
• Works with the automation engineers to record and maintain automated test script libraries for functional regression testing for assigned applications.
• Documents software defects in an issues tracking system and proactively communicate issues with developers and business analysts.
• Participates in business requirements and functional specifications reviews early in the software development lifecycle process.
• Assist with the development, integration and coordination of cross-organization test projects.
• Generates effective status and progress reports to the QA Manager and project team managers.
• Test implementation procedures.
• Provide testing leadership for projects assigned to.
Requirements:
• experience in software testing in a process driven technology environment. Recent experience must include hands-on testing.
• Experience with financial software testing is preferred.
• Strong SQL/Database skills
• Experience in knowledge of industry standard best practices as related to software testing.
• Experience in all phases of software application design, development and testing.
• Ability to translate from business requirements to technical testing solutions.
• Experience with full cycle testing including functional testing, system testing, integration testing, performance and stress testing.
