Position: Trainer
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 4+ Months
 
Position Functions or Responsibilities:
During training delivery, travel will be required throughout various zones within the State of New York. Travel expenses associated with training delivery will be reimbursed.  Reliable transportation is required.
  
Training Delivery Competencies:
·         Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze appropriate information about course materials and learner information to make necessary adaptations to course materials, agenda, activity sequences, and logistics.
·         Demonstrated ability to grasp technical information and procedures, synthesize that information, and convey it in a coherent and understandable manner to a non-technical learner.
·         Demonstrated ability to confirm all logistical and physical arrangements and ensure an appropriate physical environment for specific instructional situations.
·         Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain credibility in learning situations through personal conduct, social practices, demonstrated knowledge of the organization, OJT location, the learners, the learner's job, flexibility toward learners' needs and interests, demonstrated content expertise, and professionalism.
·         Demonstrated ability to manage the learning environment by carrying out presentation and involvement strategies that inform and encourage learner comfort and participation; and, managing individual and group dynamics to ensure learner involvement and control individual behavior problems.
·         Demonstrated effective communication skills through use of language, frames of reference, nonverbal skills, and adapting messages to meet the needs of individual learners within the learning environment.
·         Demonstrated effective presentation skills through use of voice; gestures; silence; movement; posture; space and visual aids to support and enhance content; structuring content; and, integrating anecdotes, illustrations, analogies, and humor to enhance learner understanding and involvement.
·         Demonstrated effective questioning skills and techniques to encourage and enhance learning and participation, identify content points that give learners trouble, and create a supportive environment in which learners are comfortable asking and answering questions, making comments, and sharing concerns.
·         Demonstrated ability to provide clarification and respond appropriately to learners' needs for clarification or feedback that includes a variety of feedback techniques to meet the needs of the learner and the instructional situation.
·         Demonstrated ability in providing positive reinforcement and motivational incentives that are appropriate to the learners' needs and support instructional goals.
·         Demonstrated ability to use instructional methods appropriately that include use of varied instructional methods required by the instructional content, the learners' needs, and the learning situation; and, uses these techniques to manage the learning dynamics of the learners.
·         Demonstrated ability to use a variety of instructional media safely and correctly to enhance instruction and learner involvement; and, troubleshoot and resolve minor problems.
·         Demonstrated ability to evaluate learner performance using a variety of tools and techniques to assess learner progress during the course of the learning situation.
·         Demonstrated ability to self-assess instructional delivery and the extent to which the instructional design, instructional environment, and the trainer's own actions and decisions promoted or hampered learner success in achieving objectives.
·         Demonstrated ability to document and report evaluation information appropriately for a variety of audiences, including training management, project management, client management, and instructional designers.
 
Required Skills:
•                    Must have 5 years Instructional Design Experience
•                    Must have 5 years Hands-on-Computer-Based Training Delivery
•                    Must have 3 years Experience using MS Office Professional 2010
•                    PLUS: Experience with Oracle User Productivity Kit is a plus...
 
Education:
•                    BA or BS in IT, training, or related course of study
