I finally stopped "hating" Bird about 20 years ago. I was at a Rockets game vs the Celtics....we had a 12 point lead with about 2-3 minutes left in the game. I sat back and watched Bird single handedly orchestrate
a comeback along with a 4-6 point victory for Boston. It was a combination of 3 pointers, steals, rebound put backs and the type of passing on your clip, Bob. I literally gave up and became a Bird "lover" at that point. He'd be the first guy I'd pick out of anybody from NBA past or present for a pick-up game. That's hard to say since Hakeem would be standing there also. You're not likely to see this kind of stuff again...you'll see great athleticism and heroic dunks, clutch 3 point shots, etc., but this sh*t is few and far between...like Haley's comet.
