Our client, one of the major banks of Japan, is seeking a MQ Administrator .
Job Description :
Installation and Support of WebSphere MQ and WebSphere MQ Broker on the AIX platform in support interface with CGIs Trade360 application.
Responsibilities:
- Tasks will be performed while working with current MQ administers, UNIX SAs, DBAs and Security Admins.
- Multiple Installations of WebSphere MQ Ver. 7.5 on AIX (in conjunction with AIX SAs)
- Multiple Installations of WebSphere MQ Broker Ver. 8.0 on AIX (in conjunction with AIX SAs)
- Installation of related tools, support pacs, scripts, etc
- Build WebSphere MQ Queue Managers, and WebSphere MQ Brokers per our client standards
- Configure and secure said Queue Managers and Brokers per our client standards
- Verification of installation and configuration
- Configure queues and channels on new Queue Managers and associated existing Queue Managers per application requirements in accordance with our client standards.
- Setup Monitoring and alerting for new Queue Managers and associated Queue Managers
- Act as primary focal point for interface with Trade360 (CGI) as it relates to WebSphere MQ
- Development and documentation of Operational procedures (including scripts) as necessary to support day to day processing.
- Provide general guidance and best practices as appropriate to our client MQ Administrators and application developers
- Support application testing requirements including, but not limited to:
- Testing with CGI Trade360
- Testing with FRB, CHIPS, and other non our client entities
- Testing with HO (Home Office Tokyo) Queue Managers
- High Availability testing
- Component Failure and Disaster Recovery testing
- Performance and Stress testing
- Clearing of Queues, monitoring processing, or providing status as requested by application
- Researching MQ problems like where is my message, security issues, and connectivity issues.
- Trouble shooting including working with IBM or CGI to resolve issues
- Definition of JMS Binding files if necessary
- Support of Migration tests, Dress Rehearsals
