Re: [ACEsthetics] Radio

Mac,

I don't have much to add, but I will be stealing... =]

Radio has been the best ROI for external marketing in our practice.  It's amazing to me how often we still get people coming in for ortho consults saying they heard us on the radio when we pulled the ad four months ago.

For those looking at doing radio ads, the best advice I've received is to do actual service specific ads...CEREC, 6MS, Invisalign, etc.  The general ones that you're just trying to get your brand out do not bring in much.
That's why I really like Mac's idea here!

Subject: [ACEsthetics] Radio

I market like crazy but rarely listen to myself the radio until recently.  On the weekends, I have been spending time on a skid steer (like a tractor) listening to local stations.  I have to admit, I got tired of hearing my own material so I know it gets stale.

Last night I went to a big political event in a town 30 miles away.  When I would introduce myself to people, they would respond, "The dentist on the radio?   Yep, it is you alright, I recognize your voice.  You do a great job."

Maybe so but I still know it goes stale so I call my radio DJ and tell him how I feel.  Hopeful solution is he and I are going to sit down and make many ads as if it were a live event covering different aspects of dental services that I supply.

He is the morning DJ.  Here is my first thought as to how it will go down.  Because it is locally owned, formal 30 or 60 second bites are not a problem.  If we go over or under, no big deal.  He and I have done live spots for over a year together so we know how to banter and connect.

Here are my initial thoughts;

Chad:  This is the Chad Man working with Dr Mac Lee from Edna and together we are discussing the benefits of modern dentistry.  Dr Mac how can you help someone who snores?

Dr Mac how can you help someone who has tension head and neck pain and even migraines?

Dr Mac how can you help someone who lots of bad teeth?

Dr Mac how can you help someone who have dental problems but don't know where to turn?

Dr Mac how can you help someone who is in pain?

Dr Mac how can you help someone who trouble getting numb?

Dr Mac how can you help someone who is terrified to go to the dentist?

Dr Mac how can you help someone who is terrified about needles?

Dr Mac how can you help someone who gags?

I do better just going off the cuff than anything written or read.

Any thoughts or comments?  Additions???
