Title: Magento/PHP Software Applications Developer
Department: IT
Location: West Boylston, MA
Duration: 6-12 months plus
Interview: Phone/ Skype if not local to MA.
Start Date: Nov 4th
The ideal candidate will complement the current team that has recently gotten up the Magento learning curve with prior Magento implementation and configuration experience.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
· At least 3 years experience in development and implementation using PHP on a project creating a Magento-based web site and ideally experience selecting and implementing Magento extensions.
Technical Skills: Heavy focus on PHP, Magento, Magento Extensions, My SQL
· Full technical knowledge of all phases of the software development lifecycle with recent participation in agile projects.
· Experience with development tools for continuous software builds, and automated test suites, and a strong build process mindset.
· Successful candidate will be expected to develop accurate task estimates and perform with on-time delivery of code
· Prior history of achievement with robust, efficient code development and strong problem solving mind set (debugging and diagnostics). Adept working in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
· Must be able to take direction from lead developer and be comfortable participating in code reviews
· Strong background in effective software development practices including test driven design
Additional Skills:
· Excellent oral and written technical communication skills including the ability to create technical specifications that will facilitate code development meeting the needs of the business; to produce technical documentation when required.
· Strong troubleshooting, decision making and problem solving skills required.
· Positive attitude toward internal end user (operations staff who are customers of the back office applications) and demonstrating sensitivity to the needs of the business that IT supports.
· Track record of excellent relationships with peers in the midst of intense software development.
· Respect for the software development process including a discipline of change control.

Amenable to partial work at home though not open to fully remote work schedule.
