Job Description:location: San Deigo/ San Fransisco, CA
Long term Project
• High on technology with good project delivery experience
• Deep knowledge of the J2EE Framework and internals of the architecture, including JSP, EJB, SERVLETS, APPLETS, JSF, JDBC, JMS, Transaction services, Logging (Log4J), Thread Management and development of asynchronous java processes.
• Experience with ORM tools; i.e., Entity Framework, Hibernate
• Experience with Webservers like Tomcat/Apache/Netscape
• Ability to understand architecture and business vision
• Ability to ask the right technical questions for complex solutions of design
• Experience leading and delivering technology solutions with medium to large teams
• Proficient in Web-logic or Web-sphere application servers including having some knowledge on administering them and managing their configuration essentials
• Experience in using version control systems like SVN or CVS or Clear Case
• Solid understanding of build and deployment process and tools like Maven, ANT /Cruise Control
• Good knowledge on HTML UI, CSS and Javascript
• Experience in understanding system security and how to implement them (Ex, SQL Injections, Cookies etc)
• Knowledge of SOA architecture and in depth knowledge of web services internals
• Experience in handling interfaces with external systems (Payment Gateway, Address Gateway etc)
• Good knowledge on rules engine like Drools or I-Log or Corticon and how they work. (Good to have, not a must)
• Ability to perform code reviews and recommend automated review tools for the project
• Ability to think through performance requirements for a system and come out with testing those scenarios and troubleshoot server runtime issues that result.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)
• Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices.
• Strong experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer) along with some experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA).
• Experience with JQuery or similar technologies are preferred.
• Hands-on and can help developers with their coding efforts.
Preferences:
• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary.
• Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices while leading and mentoring a team of developers.
• Ability to understand methodologies and tools used for delivery and display a passion to follow and devise processes for improving quality
• Ability to multi-task & support multiple priorities / multiple deliverables
• Ability to understand requirements and turn them to useful client deliverables using a team
• Strong Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
• Microsoft certifications are a plus
