RE: Elections spotlight Cameroon's weak democracy

I do. Look up the principle of subsidiary. Also look up the European charter on democratic local government.

The US in which I reside was built in these basis. In fact, although the Indian tribes in the US are considered nations and have a special status, the US Federal government demanded as part of negotiations that the native tribes convert their chiefdom a from hereditary rulership and create a democratic charter or constitution an put an end to hereditary chiefs. You think the Americans and the Europeans are fools to insist on democratic local government? Think again. This has not been tested in Africa. Until it is tested, we will never know whether it will work.

Today, we all want to go live in Europe and America where this polity has made development, creativity, invention and self expression and creativity possible. When America say they are sending their army to fight for the freedoms we enjoy in this country, it's no joke. It's not just words.

Again. Look up the political principle of subsidiarity and the European charter on democratic local government.
