Competency based education: The job requires more competencies. The impact of new technology, new laws, norms, environmental degradation and concern for new managerial process demand additional competencies.
Any higher education program needs to be continuously evaluated and improved. Skill improvement can be a part of it. The cognitive strategies are more important. The graduates have to think of solving real life problems. the institutions have to create courses and instructional design and implementation to focus on the advanced mental abilities and critical thinking. the teams of the learners need many challenges.
They can be given real problems which require multidisciplinary approaches and make the projects and solutions pass through all types of critical evaluations.
Go beyond 2-4-6 formula
2: Limited and rigid curriculum between the pages of the document
4: within four walls of the institute
6: Six hours of instruction ( 3 hours in the forenoon and three hours in the afternoon)
Empower the faculty, delegate and create confidence to solve complex problems. Improve their leadership!

Doctors child in most of the cases become doctor due to their parents interest and so the case with other profession.. It may be inspiration or imposition..
Now their is third category known as late bloomers who discover their interest in some later part of life, be it educationist, an engineer turned musician like Shankar mahadevan or someone else.

In formal education till 10th class we do study science, maths, arts, music and other subjects...
