Skills Required and Job Description:

Demonstrated programming experience using Java, JavaScript, SQL, XML, HTML5 and fluency in object-oriented programming concepts and best practices. 2+ years required.

Proven experience configuring and developing in Salesforce.com and Force.com environments with focus on APEX, Visualforce, SOQL, and Salesforce sites. Solid experience with relational databases, including the use of triggers, workflows, views, and stored procedures. 2+ years required.

Proven ability to provide support of Salesforce.com and Force.com applications through troubleshooting, technical resolution, enhancement implementation, and best practices development. 2+ years required.

Knowledge of the full software/application development cycle, particularly in an agile environment: design, coding, testing, release, maintenance and the ability to document requirements for custom code and development. 2+ years desired.

Experience using enterprise integration tools and extract, transformation and load (ETL) tools and building integrations with 3rd party applications. 2+ years desired.

Soft Skills Required:

  1. Ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects simultaneously, and adjust to changing priorities.
  2. Ability to work as part of a collaborative team as well as an independent contributor.
  3. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

Description:

Provide technical analysis and hands-on development, configuration, deployment, administration, and support of SaaS/SFDC applications.

Work with SaaS/PaaS team members as well as other technical and non-technical staff to ensure business and technical requirements are clearly defined, documented, and followed.

Create technical documentation. Attend team and project meetings. Participate in development of best practices.

Applications will serve a variety of administrative and/or academic units and departments. End users will likely be primarily staff and faculty but may include some students.

Overview

As a member of the Shared Solutions Group – SaaS/PaaS Practices team, this position provides technical expertise in developing new applications and implementing vendor solutions – as well as enhancing and maintaining existing applications – utilizing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technologies. This position will regularly collaborate with other SaaS/PaaS Practices team members, clients, ITS colleagues, and vendors throughout all phases projects and while providing ongoing support.

Increasingly more applications are being launched on – or transitioned to – Salesforce.com and other SaaS applications and technologies. As a result, the SaaS/PaaS Practices team seeks an experienced SaaS/SFDC Developer to augment the team's skills and capacity to meet the growing administrative and user systems needs with new applications and technologies.
