Urgent Requirement: Weblogic System Admin : AZ : Immediate Interview

Role: Weblogic System Admin

Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Duration: 3 Months

Preference will be given to local (Arizona) candidates.

 

Primary Duties And Accountabilities:           

Oversee all aspects of infrastructure including configuration of new and existing systems on multiple platforms, security, operating system administration, software installation, and maintenance and upgrades. Includes but not limited to; Linux/Unix/Microsoft operating systems, web servers, LDAP servers, and Java EE application servers. Main focus on designing and supporting the implementation of WebLogic clusters and Java applications, performance tuning of WebLogic instances and act as support of WebLogic and web systems.    Devise migration/deployment plans for current projects and an on-boarding plan for future projects. Design automated deployment strategy. Develop troubleshooting procedure documentation and technical research to evaluate existing WebLogic architecture, implementation, configuration and design with performance, current and future state in mind.       Assist other departments and development staff with Web and Application server analysis, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting as it relates to application access and transaction performance. Create real time performance, profiling, and monitoring components to be utilized during load testing and for real time monitoring of all stages of application deployment (Development, QA Test, Staging, and Production).            

 

Skills, Educational Background And Experience:

·         Minimum 5-years hands-on experience with operating system administration including Linux/Unix and Microsoft Operating Systems is required.

·         Minimum 4-year experience with BEA WebLogic administration.

·         Minimum 4-years of experience designing and implementing deployment automation processes and tools with at least 2-years experience with automation in a WebLogic environment (WLST experience preferred).

·         Minimum 5 years progressive experience with XML, XSLT, HTML, HTTP, LDAP, JSP, struts, ANT, IIS, Web Services, Apache/Tomcat/Jboss/Weblogic.

·         Minimum 5-years progressive experience with Unix shell scripting, Perl, PHP, and Python (Jython experience highly desired).

·         Minimum 5 years experience with Java and JDBC

·         Minimum 5 years experience configuring and monitoring JMS implementations.  Demonstrated understanding of JMS topics and queues. At least 2 years experience with Weblogic distributed queues, clustered JMS implementations, and configuration /management of foreign JMS providers.

·         Minimum 5 years experience with administration of web servers: Apache, Netscape, IIS, Installation, configuring web servers to work with Java EE application server environments.

·         Demonstrated understanding of virtual environments (VMWare, MS Virtual Server)

·         Experience with basic database administration: installation, emergency recovery, creating accounts, tuning SQL queries, indexing.

·         Demonstrated understanding of LDAP servers.

·         Understanding of network and system security: firewalls, security logs and audits, proxies, DMZ.

·         Understanding networking principles: routing, naming services, port-mapping, protocols, network address translation, DHCP, IP chaining, etc.

·         Experience with VPN and Extranet technologies.

·         Demonstrated experience implementing Web Authentication and Authorization systems, including knowledge of LDAP, ADSI, and single-sign on technologies (such as SAML).

·         Knowledge of structured analysis and design methodologies required.

·         Strong technical and troubleshooting skills to evaluate recommend and support new technology as it relates to Web-based applications. Should be well versed in networking, JVM, application memory leaks, and application thread deadlock triage and root cause analysis techniques.
