Description:   Job   Summary & Responsibilities •   Administer and maintain an existing local / global server infrastructure   including implementation, operational support, and periodic hardware and   software maintenance of all infrastructure servers.    • Coordination and execution of large scale   projects involving Unix/Linux hosts    • Continually evaluate the operations of the   environment, and assist in the optimization and delivery of server   infrastructure improvements.    • Consistently meet SLA's for the services provided      • Work as part of a global team schedule.    • Will have opportunities to learn and support   cross-platform environments   Basic   Qualifications   • Well   experienced in systems administration (e.g. configuration of server-based   systems, system installation and configuration, fundamentals of security,   installing third-party software)    • A solid understanding of a server-based operating   system. Understands paging and swapping, inter-process communication, file   system concepts, can use performance analysis to tune systems    • Familiarity with fundamental distributed   computing environment concepts    • Ability to perform trend / gap analysis and   provide recommendation to address the risks
