Work with customers/business partners to analyze existing Cognos 7 cubes, reports, and security currently being used. Develop a migration plan from Cognos 7 to Cognos 10 using a compress and optimize methodology. Consolidate functionality of multiple cubes/reports to minimal cubes/reports required. Develop automation for migrating security from Cognos 7 to Cognos 10. 

Required skills: 
Have minimum of 3-5 years leading and supporting migrations to Cognos 10 including architecture, design , security and implementation phases. 
Hands on experience gathering business requirements and translating them to formalized design specifications 
Deep understanding of best practices on Cognos 7 & 10 Security 
Experience with the Cognos SDK is needed 
Excellent communications and customer service skills 
3+ Years with Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing tools 

Desired skills: 
Hands on experience using OLAP tools 
Familiarity with ETL concepts and interaction with ETL vendor technology 
2+ Years in one or more DBMS (Oracle, MS SQL) 
Proficiency with Data Modeling and related tools 
Proficiency with Report, Dashboard and Scorecard design and development 
Cognos product certification a plus 
Microsoft Visual basic expertise 


Summary: The main function of a Analyst/Developer Architect is to apply business process expertise for highly complex process development projects interfacing with departments, service centers, and/or business unit customer bases worldwide. Apply the most advanced process and technology to guide solution design to ensure it fulfills business requirements, complements the balance of the solution, and advances the enterprise toward the strategic vision. Job Responsibilities: Collaborate with process partner organizations to have an in-depth understanding of their operations and benchmark to related corporate and/or industry standards. Review and provide counsel for all major business case analysis efforts and multi-generational product planning. Provide guidance/recommendations to process owners and is consulted by business areas for input and thoughts. Actively participate and provide project leadership to process partners, management, customers and project teams on the most complex aspect of process development, system integration, and development methods. Investigates and proposes leading edge methodologies and/or technology solutions. Interact with solution vendors to determine best fit and develop solution plan. Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong problem solving and analytical skills, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Ability to think outside the box. Ability to work with minimal management input. Expert leadership and mentoring skills necessary to build a cohesive team from diverse members. Expert knowledge of related infrastructure components and/or operating environment. Expert ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues. Expert knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. Expert level proficiency in a computer software application or programming language specifically identified in the assignment requirements. JavaScript/JSP, SQL, DB2, IMS, .Net, C/ C++/ C#/ C/ITK (Teamcenter), Sterling Integrator, HTML/Web Content Management/CSS, Cobol/JCL, Datastage, SAP Bobj, Java, ETQ, SalesForce experience, PeopleSoft, Laboratory Info. Mgt. (LIMS) experience, eCommerce coding experience, SOA experience, Mobile application development, Websphere application experience, Adobe CQ application experience. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
