Re: [MTC Global] Do you Believe?

Sirs' ...... people learn things only in interaction with developed teachers and personalities....mechanical way of knowing through TV, Video, Telephone, Webinars will have several limitations.....Even though I happened to be an IT professional, yet, I never consider IT gadgets and IT dependent teaching methods as substitutes to class room teaching.....in classroom teaching, students learn not only from their teachers but from their colleagues, office staff and above all with the society at large.... through college cultural meets, competitions, sports and so on so forth....

.... if electronic gadgets and computer aided instruction is considered as a complement to regular class room teaching, it is welcome....danger comes only when it is substituted for class room teaching.....

.... one more danger is, often, distance learning and e-learning are being shown as clever outlets to the children of poor and middle class which is not only irrational but unethical as well....let true Educationists give serious thought to this ominous trend.....

If e-learning is so popular, what will happen to the publishing houses? We will again see retrenchment of employees and fall in GDP.....but some people will improve....the business class......
It is very sad that when we are trying to forget our old ideas, the western world is desperately trying to cling on to our "so-called-old-values"

Sir, I think it will be effective only if it is implemented to the core and at 100%. But, in our country where in many government and rural schools where there is no teachers or most of them are ineffective and where smart boards and computers are not functioning, fight between gross root level politicians for supremacy at village/hobli/taluk level etc etc. I don't think this will be effective only thing we can think another scam in introducing such schemes.

Do you believe that [techno-school] e-learning in schools is highly effective? We do not find students carrying bags in top international schools as they have gone online/e-learning/LMS?

Good that students need not carry the heavy weight but is it effective ?

An area needs good discussion...................
