Re: BIYA'S END OF YR SPEECH

Mr. Biya can cry crocodile tears. His hanging onto power for over 30 years is the most wrongful reason for the malaise in Cameroon. If he was doing the job of a president well, he could not rule a nation for 30 years. It is only leaders who do nothing that cling to power. Tell me, can Obama rule America for 16 years if he was allowed to? Nelson Mandela saw the job of president to be very demanding, that is why he left after just one term. Those who hang onto power are the do nothing leaders. Even a chief executive of a company who is working hard soon finds that his strength is dwindling, his ideas are dwindling. For Mr. Biya to suddenly start weeping crocodile tears over a nation he has destroyed is unacceptable to those who love Cameroon as some of us. I personally believe Mr. Biya hates Cameroon. If not, he would not be spending 50% of his life in Europe squandering the nations resources and not supervising his ministers and caring less about the nation. Has he ever tried to drive his motorcade through the city of Yaounde and Douala let alone that for thirty something years in power he has not visited 75% of the towns in the country. Does he know where Nkambe is? Has he ever visited Wum, Mamfe, Bafang, etc. But let him count how many times he has been to France, Switzerland, and other European countries within the last 30 years! It is unfortunate that we always point the finger at others to escape from our own failures and misdeeds! What legacy does he think he will leave behind as he approaches the end of life as all of us have to. Let Mr. Biya first blame himself and step down if he loves Cameroon. If he doesn't, it demonstrates love for Cameroon, i.e. not being patriotic. He loves himself more than he loves Cameroon. Whatever is happening in Cameroon is because he wants it and he knows that corruption helps keep him in power. I pray he retires and move to Switzerland or France and leave Cameroon for someone God will send to deliver Cameroon. His presence has been a hindrance to the development of Cameroon. Mr. Biya hates Cameroon to the core. And he has made it within his power to destroy Cameroon before he dies. That is his legacy.
