During my student days at Ibadan, we had a visit from Princess Elizabeth of Toro. She presented a talk on her experience as Idi Amin's Foreign Minister. I remember a fellow student in the audience who challenged all she had said and declared Amin his hero. He said Amin was his hero because he forced a number of white men to physically carry him around. I remembered seeing the picture in a book which captured Amin as a village tyrant. We have been dehumanized by tyranny to the extent that we see benevolence in that tyranny.

Have we forgotten so soon that Whites lived in Zimbabwe? This is obvious Western architecture is their handiwork. These are not the Great Zimbabwean ruins.

We must learn to give credit where it belongs and hold power-grabbing thugs like Mugabe to some minimum standard of performance. Giving credit to Mugabe for the Western architecture grazing downtown Zimbabwe is equal to giving Biya credit for the clearly teutonic Prime Minister's Lodge in Buea.

Common Mishe Fon, Manu Tayong and Sincere Lawyer. You guys are trying to hoodwink thinking men into giving a modicum of credit to Robert Mogabe. He is no enlightened despot.

For all those of us who believe all the hype and hoopla peddled by Western Media about how Mugabe is evil, how Zimbabwe is almost bankrupt, the economy is next to zero etc...THINK Again.

Herewith a partial view of Downtown Harare. The next thing you will hear from (some of our Cameroonian and African brothers) who for whatever reasons are apologists of Western propaganda; is that "All those so-called beautiful offices and skyscrapers you see are vacant WHITE ELEPHANTS, with no Electricity, no Water and are full of Mosquitoes". And so what? Mosquitoes are a nutritive source of Good Proteins. YES, I grew up eating fresh mosquitoes called in Mankon "NGOH". Nigerian Food Shops in Washington DC area even sell the damn thing right here in the U.S of A. I don't support the selfish longevity of pa Mugabe in Power, but the guy is a Nationalist (Head to Toe). He should have taken a deserved retirement...at least he has something to show for his unnecessary very Long stay in PAWA. That much cannot be said of other similar countries with similar "I dey Kang-Kpwe Wata Go Leave Stone Presidents".
