Re: [MTC Global] Weekend Debate-MOOCs vs Classroom Education

One kind of open source education has been prevalent since the last 100 years in the form of public and college libraries.

Self learning is good for a small % of the student population.

Subject: [MTC Global] Weekend Debate-MOOCs vs Classroom Education

Dear MTCIANS
A very good evening to you all.
Let me suggest the following topic, if not covered sofar, for the weekend debate.
Whether MOOCS will replace Classroom Education
My take is that MOOCS are only a replacement for books and real learning takes place in the context of in-person interaction/debate etc.
However a blended learning would be the desired one (ideal choice)with Technology widening and deepening the class room learning.
With best wishes
