Job Title: Business Objects Developer
Location: New York City, NY
Duration: 6+Months 

Job Description
The Business Objects Developer will be responsible for creation of new BO XI R3 reports based on the specifications
Modification of existing BO XI R3 reports as needed to accommodate business needs
Create / Modify BO XI R3 universes to support BO reports
Schedule reports using BO XI R3 Scheduler as required
Write test case SQLs to test reports, run the test and document results
Participate in performance tuning of reports as needed
Provide System Support, addressing production issues and address with immediacy
Provide business user technical support, addressing immediate needs for inquiries on existing reports
Troubleshoot issues with existing reports and address with immediacy
Work closely with Data Warehouse Team to ensure that data requirements are
sufficient to meet reporting requirements

Key Areas of Account-abilities:
This is a hands-on developer position that requires:
Good understanding of BO XI R3 architecture and security
Experience with BO XI R3 Scheduler
Good experience in PL/SQL
Experience working in Data Warehouse environment and good understanding of DW concepts
Experience with performance tuning of BO reports

Required Experience
5 years of BO XI R3 experience in developing webi / deski / rich client reports
Experience with BO Designer in creating/modifying BO Universes
Hands on experience with PL/SQL. Should be able to write queries outside BO to perform analysis of data and test reports
Experience working independently to build reports using Software Specifications or other requirement documents

Position Requirements
BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field is required
5 years in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field is required
5 years in a Business Objects developer role with increasing responsibilities
Must possess strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal effectiveness) and an ability to work well with people of varying technical abilities
