Job Title: PL/SQL Developer
Location: Bedminster,NJ
Length: 6 Months Contract
Client : Travelers
Environment - Oracle 10g/11g, PL/SQL, TOAD, Alteryx, Java 6, UNIX
Ø Created Logical / Physical data models for new requirements after discussions with technical team and application users.
Ø Created and maintained Database Objects (Tables, Views, Indexes, Sequences, Database triggers, stored procedures etc).
Ø Used PARTITIONS heavily to improve performance and for easy archiving.
Ø Exclusive Oracle tuning (indexing, materialized views, Analyzing, Stat collection, Bulk binding, Hints, Implicit cursors, Bulk Insert/Update/Delete etc) was done to decrease load on remote DBs and enhance execution speed of the algorithms.
Ø Maintained database objects for development, training (UAT) and production databases.
Ø Made changes in existing PL/SQL functions, procedures, and packages and also wrote new code to suit new requirements.
Ø Used metadata model based-concept of SDO
Ø Used Oracle Analytic Functions to assist complex data mining operations.
Ø Wrote ad hoc SQL queries to assist in JAVA coding according to application requirements.
Ø Worked with Geo Spatial package in Oracle for one of the location module.
Ø Wrote complex SQL queries using joins, sub queries and correlated sub queries.
Ø Used V$ views, TKPROF, Explain Plans, Managing Optimizer Statistics to assess and find solutions to performance related issues.
Ø Developed numerous programs using PL/SQL and many packages to do the validations as per requirements.
Ø Analyzed all of the data by performing advanced analytics using Alteryx and converted Alteryx Modules to PL/SQL.
Ø Wrote complex SQL queries using joins, sub queries and correlated sub queries.
Ø Dealt with heavy weight tables which are appended with millions of records daily.
Ø Moved / manipulated data from one environment to another for development, testing and debugging of application.
Ø Scripting in UNIX for developing jobs that would be run nightly to get latest data from flat files, remote databases.
Ø Involved in Data Loading and Data Migration (ETL). Used SQL*Loader to load data from flat files and Excel file into temporary table and developed PL/SQL program to load data from temporary table into base Tables.
Ø Developed Java modules to interact with Stored Procedures using hibernate and spring.
