POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Cloud Developer will work within the Information Technology & Systems department reporting to the Development Director. This position will be responsible for implementing new and enhancing existing functionality and support for Salesforce, BIG Machines and Oracle ERP at ADP. In this role you will work as a key part of a dynamic team focused on designing, customizing and implementing on cloud technologies. In addition to implementation, this position involves requirements gathering and creating strategic vision for continued growth. Must have good oral and written communication skills, work in a team environment, enjoy solving complex problems and be able to work in a fast paced environment.   Responsibilities Design & develop solutions primarily on the Salesforce Cloud platform using Apex programming language and Visual force and BIG Machines cloud development tool sets. Develop software solutions using Salesforce.com API framework, Big Machines API Framework, Java (SE & EE) and 3rd part APIs. Develop integrations between cloud application and business systems like Oracle ERP using web services or integration appliances such as Cast Iron Improve architecture and optimize performance of very complex software systems. Troubleshoot and resolve problems. Work closely with other developers in the team, business analyst, QA analyst and project managers Execute on Quality related tasks like code reviews, unit tests, functional testing, bug management, end to end testing, automation of functional and performance test cases to ensure that the features is delivered with highest quality. Research Salesforce.com and Big Machines capabilities as needed to suit business requirements, and provide gap analysis Participate and provide input into the evaluation and implementation of new application functionality and tools as required. Mentor other team members in Cloud based Application development tools   KNOWLEDGE AREAS: Minimum 5 years of application design and development experience Minimum 3 years of experience developing and customizing Salesforce applications using Salesforce development tool set (Visual Force, Apex) Experience working with Java application development (J2SE and J2EE) is preferred Strong experience in both the front-end web tier (JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, DHTML, CSS, and cross-browser development) and back end (Java, SQL) software development Experience with web services development is a MUST Experience working with BIG Machines development and customization tool set is a big plus Experience working with Cast Iron integration platform is preferred Salesforce.com developer certification is a MUST Experience implementing Salesforce app exchange products. Experience with Salesforce sales, marketing, service cloud and custom applications Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications using Web Services or Cast Iron appliance Experience Configuring the Salesforce application based on the business requirements Apply best practices and experience to build cloud based applications. Strong object oriented design skills and experience building usable and scalable systems or applications Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
