Good-Morning, Bonjour and Habari Ya Asubuhi in Swahili:

My African people.....

Verily verily, vraiment! I have come to appreciate Mishe's genre of messaging.  I read him with  an expectant  scope:  na weti happen.......what is amiss now...  what has broken in the community, mais comment, tori long, time short!  And that would be with a cup of freshly brewed coffee, preparing to laugh.  For sure,  there is a rich reservoir of talents in the comity of Cameroon/African people - down to outright magicians. lol. All the communities are not doing bad either. On Kenyan forums, some of the items are simply whaaaaat? For example, a known  pastor asked all female congregants to come church without underwear so that the Holy Spirit can flow un-hindered.  Africa, my Africa, name it, we have it! Hollywood has nothing on us.

Since Mishe indicated, I am noting. Dual Nationality is being discussed, explored and sailing.   There are other Cameroon Cultural group representatives who are attending the African Union - Africa LEGACY program at the Nigerian Embassy on March 29. On the agenda,  Dual Citizenship for African immigrants who obtain the citizenship of countries where they live is auspiciously and logically tied to the 5  African Union - African Diaspora LEGACY projects.  While national pursuits are encouraged, by all indications, a high level presentation to the African Union, which has it on its agenda, will be influential in  various nations. Much is happening that misses the African eyes.

Cameroonian(s)  and other Nationals on the Continental Africa Diaspora Dual Citizenship Caucus will take the lead with the respective national governments and AU on Dual Citizenship. Liberia nationals have adequately researched the benefits that pertain to all African immigrants. NIDO-A may take the lead on Voting Rights. Check the agenda  on the link below, keep on the left....but see right...also.

Of course, death is a blow that pierces most cruelly. Those making it to Lapiro's funeral, may God grant you traveling mercies. Lapiro's family will appreciate the solace of your shoulder-ing presence.  It  can  personal. Yesterday, Microwave ( Jacob Nguni of the gamed Rocafil Jazz with  the Legendary Nico Mbarga) told me  that he is taking a whip to beat anyone who does not cry when you all arrive. The young Prof Billy looking for Aziri Credit Union (in Bamenda, Cameroon) around Washington, DC was rib breaking. It breaks the stress with LOL.

Mishe and all,  in all seriousness, the Cameroon government cannot acknowledge Lapiro's death or honor him, which will  only popularize why he was living abroad, having gained  political asylum. The Minister of Culture's program is a good PR since  ACCDF is organizing the ride to honor LAPIRO.  It is not too complicated to figure out.

Have a Happy Weekend everyone...and of you can see you at the Nigerian Embassy on Saturday March 29. It begins with a networking cocktail... so bring your business or professional cards or please make known the association you are representing. But registration is strongly advised. Yesterday, we were at the Nigerian Embassy and all is set with the courteous service of the Nigerian Embassy.

MsJoe

Subject: [camnetwork] Cameroon Minister of CULTURE SNUBS the umbrella Cameroon CULTURAL Organisation in the USA [1 Attachment]

In an unprecedented shameful display of wanton arrogance, a strange coincidental (the burial of Cameroon Musical icon Lapiro de Mbanga) cacophony of an inexplicable "Cultural Event" at the small capacity Church of Scientology in downtown Washington DC is being advertised. The all powerful but controversial Cameroon Minister of Culture (the one and only Minister to boldly bring the Dual Nationality Debate to national prominence) sneaked herself into Washington DC and had a private (dual nationality) citizen announce her "very official event". I thought the Cameroon Embassy, last time I checked, had a PhD Dokta deputizing as "Attache Culturel" whose duties, I would imagine would include promoting "Cameroon Cultural events" in the United States. Hell No. Not with this "our" Minister of Culture. Is it by shear coincidence that "our beautiful" Minister shows up exactly on the day Cameroonians in the Diaspora are preparing to bury a CULTURAL Baobab who, admittedly may have been a thorn in the flesh of our Government? This is becoming very Mungynebou and Bamendrous.

This same Minister of Culture has been invited "several times" to attend the popular ACCDF/PANAFEST annual CULTURAL Jamboree; but she had not as much as acknowledged receipt of the invitations. With all due respects, Madame "la" Ministre, you are an intellectual and understand the ramifications of provocations of this magnitude. No froget say after Minister work, U go kam back join we as ordinary peepoo. No burn your bridges today bicos U go need am tomorrow. As some other people have suggested; what stopped you from postponing your so-called "Cultural Event" by just one day in honor of the fallen Cameroon CULTURAL hero. Those Cameroonians who will attend that event should be ashamed of themselves.

On another rather disturbing note, we would like to know what happened to the usually united  Washington based "Cameroon Association of Musicians" AKA Lions Band? They have been conspicuously silent and incommunicado (except for Amisa and Microwave) throughout this ordeal. Please don,t crucify me for asking. If they are silently organizing a solo-trip of their own to New York, I beg, make dem chuz my "inquisitiveness". Na daso say, I AM SINCERELY CONFUSED by the whole shebang.
My two cents.

The Ministry of culture is promoting an innovative strategy to preserve and protect their national heritage through offering aggressive and unprecedented concessions and incentives. These incentives have been created to attract sponsors, donors, philanthropists, and others who might appreciate and contribute to the promotion of culture in the Republic of Cameroon. We hope you will get involved, sponsor or just enjoy the great wealth of Cameroon’s cultural heritage.
