Job description
Must have strong Unix Command scripting ideally TCL/TK or Perl. SIP, SS7, ideal for telecom ideally is the right fit.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an energetic, experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to lead automation activities. This is an excellent green-field opportunity to setup an automation framework. The successful candidate must have direct, hands-on experience with automation tools, scripting and UNIX. The ideal candidate will also possess knowledge of telecommunications protocols such as SIP & SS7.
Key Responsibilities
· Analyze current test environment and recommend test automation architecture
· Setup test automation framework and develop scripts based on existing test catalog
· Create knowledge base and document test automation architecture, how to develop new test cases and how to maintain system
· Train team on all aspects of test automation framework
Qualifications
· Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with automating software testing (not user interfaces)
· Proficiency in UNIX
· Proficiency in at least one scripting methodology: shell scripts, TCL, Expect, Python, Perl
· Experience with relational databases and knowledge of SQL
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Must be able to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
Plusses
· Proficiency in, at least, one programming language such as C, C++, Java, Python or PERL
· Experience with Jira, Zephyr, Jenkins
· Experience with SIP, H.323, SS7
· Experience working with globally distributed development teams
· Thorough understanding of telephony concepts and implementation from a development and test perspective
