Location : New york, NY

Job description :
Responsible For:
(Please describe the role that the Candidate will be undertaking within the team)
Based in New York, this role primarily involves Qlikview development. The candidate will be responsible for the design, development and unit testing of Sales project requirements, focused on strategic initiatives.
This Role involves:
· Design, development, testing and implementation of Sales systems (including using Qlikview, SQL and SSIS technologies)
· Work on the full project lifecycle. Delivery of well structured, maintainable and fully tested systems to time and budget
· Communicate with the business analysts/business to gather requirements and translate into appropriate solutions
· Close liaison and coordination with/of overseas/offshore teams
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE (in order of importance)
Including: technical knowledge, company/industry experience, IT knowledge (levels required), languages etc.
- A minimum of 5 years Qlikview, MS SQL Server experience, including SQL development experience
- Solid experience of one or more other database technologies
- Experience of the full IT development life cycle in Investment Banking
- Experience designing MI and data warehouse solutions.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Including: commercial orientation, customer drive, business development, analytical reasoning, management planning, decisiveness, leadership, teamwork, building and managing relationships, communication, drive and resilience, change orientation, technical knowledge etc
- Strong analytical skills
- Aptitude to quickly pick up new technologies when required
- An ability to collaborate with relevant technical staff and project managers to constructively facilitate efficient and controlled delivery.
- Proactive and willing to use own initiative to resolve issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in rapidly changing and ambiguous situations.
- Investment banking experience
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
(Please list any experience/skills that would be considered as desirable although not essential for this role)
- Experience developing systems for one or more Global Markets products.
- MI system development experience
- In depth knowledge of one or more global markets products (FX, Rates, Credit, …)
- Experience of Global Markets Sales business/systems
