Job Title: .Net Programmer

The Programmer 4 is responsible for analysis, design, coding, assembly,  testing, implementation and continued support of all applications within the ERMS Application Delivery Team.
 
The Programmer 4 is responsible for all phases of the system development lifecycle of applications within DelDOT.  This includes application analysis, design, coding, assembly, testing, implementation and continued support of all systems and environments. Programmers will also work with stakeholders, including business units and various sections of the Information Technology teams to ensure that the system, design and code meets customer and IT standards policies and standards.
The primary focus of this particular position includes, but not limited to:
1) Support, maintenance and upgrades of existing COTS and in-house systems.
2) Application Re-writes to .NET framework
 
Years of Relevant Experience: 5 plus years
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study with advanced study preferred.


Job Requirements: Role Description:
 
•  Review and apply all policies and Standards to system infrastructure and application development.
•  Detailed functional and process knowledge.
•  Utilize deep modeling, design and coding skills.
•  Apply extensive knowledge in Project Management and all phases of Software Development Lifecycle.
•  Develop and maintain detailed system documentation.
•  Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work and work of the Application Team.  
   Develop contingency plans as necessary.
•  Provide Status Reports to Manager.
•  Excellent troubleshooting skill including, but not limited to, technical issues and business process related issues.
•  Excellent client communication skills including customer service.
•  Candidate should be able to work in a team environment or independently
•  May serve as a Technical Lead to the Team.
 
This is an ongoing position that is expected to go well beyond the initial length of time.
