Re: [MTC Global] Corporate Culture - Ramesh Vemuganti

Very good. Sir you have enabled us to assess the prevailing culture in our respective organisations by taking Ramesh's conceptualisation to its logocal end (practicality).
Culture is very very important and strategy should take a backseat when compared to culture. Strategy may be good but if the culture doesnot provide enabling environment that strategy would remain on paper without yielding the desired outcomes.
Thanks to you both for throwing light on this vital aspect.
Best wishes

Dear MTCians,

I fully endorse the profound thoughts of Prof. Ramesh Vemuganti on the topic of Corporate Culture and agree with his views on its importance and its impact on the corporate performance and brand equity. I have just reviewed an interesting book on the subject for ASCI Journal. The two eminent authors of the book have explained the underlying principles and concepts with appropriate illustrations and case studies. I will be happy to share it with our Forum members after obtaining consent from the publishers in due course.

Dear Colleagues

I am glad to share a " redefining theoritical framework " pertaining to Corporate Culture as follows!

CORPORATE CULTURE - MOST NEEDED IN ORGANIZATIONS!.

For an Organization , Corporate Culture is not an indication of scale, turnover, number of branches, jazzy websites, impressive product lit, range of products/ services, experienced employees, leveraging technology, great infrastructure, others.

The Culture of an organization is its DNA. Primarily Top driven, it is all about - how Employees work
with one another, how managers resolve conflicts, ensure brilliant teamwork, respect each other, respond to others needs, how responsive they are to a customer"s needs/ priorities, share knowledge with colleagues/ vendors, infuse quality in their DAILY OPERATIONS/ TASKS, reassure work gets done, timely completion, time discipline, word discipline,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
THIS IS WHAT WE TERM AS A CORPORATE THINKING .

EVERY ORGANIZATION SHOULD GET TRANSFORMED INTO A CORPORATE THINKING MODE OVER A PERIOD OF TIME. THIS WOULD CULMINATE INTO A CORPORATE CULTURE . OR ELSE, IT REMAINS AN ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE, NOT A CORPORATE CULTURE.

SUSTAINED CORPORATE THINKING INSTITUTIONALIZES & RESULTS IN A CORPORATE CULTURE.
