Linux Syst Admin/AS400
Alpharetta, GA – Rate: $40/hr – C2C – Phone interview ok
Details of Position:
· The person will be responsible for end to end rotational 24/7/365 support and required to perform configuration management work for UNIX, AIX, Linux, VMware: ESXi virtual machines).
· Person also needs to have working knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel/PowerPoint).
· In addition responsible for leveraging the Appian process, performing weekly operational, data analytics and business analysis for all department trends and requirements. Person should have above average troubleshooting skills.
· 80% of job is Linux based.
· Candidate must be process oriented, Innovative thinker, Problem solver, Multi-tasker, Flexible, Manage pressure well, self-starter,
· In-depth technical knowledge of the AIX and iSeries (AS/400) operating platforms including detailed technical troubleshooting.
· In-depth knowledge of the VMware ESXi virtual machines, Linux, UNIX and Tandem/NonStop operating system platforms, including detailed technical troubleshooting.
· Knowledgeable of vendor processes, and product and support offerings.
· Leadership- provide quality leadership and direction to other team members
· Excellent communication skills
Management Skills:
· Excellent communication skills both Oral and written
· Detail orientated – data compiling, data analysis, data trending etc.
· Business analysis and planning.
· Accounting -Knowledgeable of core accounting concepts and UPS budget process, Cost to server, Longview and ITAS etc.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project etc.)
