Java Developer

Duration: 12 months

Location: Mossville, IL 61552

​

 

 

 

·         The successful candidate will be an innovative and creative Internet developer familiar with taxonomy design, security mechanisms, directory services, delegated content management and dynamic content rendering to assist in the construction of highly usable portal pages.

·         Candidates will be familiar with surfacing content from one or more publishing applications, defining page constraints and constructing user friendly navigation based on basic requirements delivered by business users.

 

Education/Experience:

·         Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent training required.

·         Five to seven years previous IT experience required.

 

Skills and Competencies:

·         Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.

·         Expert ability to work independently and manage one's time.

·         Expert knowledge of computer software, such as Adobe, Java, SQL, etc.

 

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Develop portlets in accordance with business requirements that are developed by a business analyst using agile methodologies.

·         Work within a team of developers to develop creative user friendly solutions.

·         Review problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback and approve the correction of problem.

·         Advise and direct management or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria or choose solutions.

·         Direct development or validation of test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces.

·         Maintain understanding of current web technologies or programming practices through continuing education.
