Job Description:
DUTIES TO BE PERFORMED:
· Develop NGSS (Next Generation Student Systems) interfaces on the Mule ESB or data updates, in Java.
· Analyze and write detail specifications. Unit test
· Experience of Mule ESB is a must
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATION
· Strong technical and analytical ability with experience developing applications in a professional software development environment with hands-on design, architecture, implementation, and support experience with J2EE and related platform technologies.
· Must be adaptable and flexible in order to quickly assimilate and utilize our rapid application development framework.
· Strong background in Java and object oriented design patterns, Java IDE - Eclipse or equivalent, Java Servlet programming, Java build tools and MVC framework such as Struts.
· Must be knowledgeable and experienced with scripting. Experience with Mule or other Enterprise Service Bus is strongly preferred.
· Experience with Ellucian Banner Student System is desirable.
· Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
· Must be able to work independently or as part of a team while effectively collaborating with others.
· Experience working on mission critical, highly available applications; practical knowledge of iterative software development, including frequent working software deliveries and familiarity with software development best practices and methodologies; must understand technical, quality assurance, and security standards.
