Details:
The Sr. Database Developer is responsible for creating a highly efficient SQL, Stored Procedure and ETL code for querying and manipulating data within enterprise databases.
Analyzes data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database scheme's), and then designs, develops, amends, optimizes, and certifies database schema design to meet system's) requirements.
Gathers, analyzes, and normalizes relevant information related to, and from business processes, functions, and operations to evaluate data credibility and determine relevance and meaning.
Develops database and warehousing designs across multiple platforms and computing environments.
Applies an overall data architecture that supports the information needs of the business in a flexible but secure environment
Serves as resident expert in efficient data retrieval and manipulation, interface techniques, SQL Server Analysis Services, Visual Studio.
Constructs queries, DML, data transformations, and extractions by understanding and investigating existing database structures and data models within the enterprise.
Meets with business unit and technology group staff to understand system requirements.
With no required supervision, creates automated solutions using established analysis and design methodologies.
Designs, develops, and maintains extensions and customizations to and interfaces other SQL Server data warehouses and databases
Coaches and mentors junior technical staff and leads mid- and large-sized development efforts
Reviews algorithms and code produced by junior staff, and recommends changes where appropriate, and coaches and mentors more junior technical staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
8+ years of overall IT work experience in DBA, DBMS design, development and support in relevant database computing environments.
4+ years experience with SQL Server Analysis Services
