Re: [MTC Global] INDIAN BUDGET 2014 - Gross National Happiness of India: Why it is dependent on Economic Well being and Budgetary policies of GOI--and How We Can Get More of It

Yes Prof Prabhakar , academia has a big role to play on the setting the context right before the rulers. Otherwise most trivial and media hype issues, take forefront and the important issues related to development, and public benefit and policy, along with National growth take back seat.  If you look most of the issues, as you "rightly pointed out" , we are discussing are trivial issues, leaving the real issues of "managing the economy", to bring back in its right curve. The issues cropping now one after another, are somehow designed to take the public mind away from the real issue, we are facing in regards to economy.

There are many comments coming up from new government that in order to grow we must be ready to face hardships . Already many has started thinking that "Acche din" is a delusion..

How do we balance between the "growth" and "inflation" is an important challenge to be addressed on the next 13 days ?

At 16th May , the Gross national happiness has grown in the aspiration  of "Acche Din" . But now it has reached a all time low , with the set of policies implemented in last few weeks which is hurting common man.

Let us set the context right, that no more distraction can be done to public mind, with clever marketing and PR campaign, and national interest and Gross national happiness  takes the primary position.
