Re: [MTC Global] [Weekend Big Debate- I] Women can't have it all

I think we moved away from the original which was to me the feeling of guilt-did I do right.? Women tend to ask this so much more often than men who take it as part of their entitlement .Years ago in a training session Rod Bolitho, highlighted how little women share about their work at home: many children believe dad works while mom goes to the office. We .quite a  large number of women in the  group-put it to practice. We did with amazing results. He also told us-you are also professionals and have to believe in it yourself to get respect: another learning I never forgot and it made life and living that much more valuable.
The  question is-should we feel guilty to be as successful ?Did it come at a cost-if it did are there spin offs that make it worthwhile.? Questions, questions more questions.....
Work life balance is beyond gender-and a whole gamut of thought there.

I like to add however there are duties that need to be performed..no matter what drag they have on mental and physical well being.

There are inherent differences in the gender roles that are explained out in very early stage of our lives.

No matter how educated, cultured, urban we women may be ... they come to haunt us...and demand our undivided attention.

It is very difficult to look the other way and imagine all of it will disappear on its own.

They become parameters on which our perfomance as individuals are judged.

As woman let me tell you...being told that one is falling in ones duty as woman is preety demotivating. So most women choose home over their dream...

Those who choose dream..give up the thought of home....

That's why we have only one lata mangeshwar...sadly .

When one does what one loves most..there is no feeling of ..the thing called tiredness.

Boredom, Mental and physical exhaustion is more in activities not of our liking...
