SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST

 

Seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to design, develop, and execute test strategies and test plans in a large-scale date warehouse environment.  The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of QA methodologies and strong problem solving and information gathering skills.  This position provides active participation in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Job Description

• Analyze system and business process requirements and design test strategies, test plans and test cases to ensure maximum test coverage
• Develop and execute manual and automated tests at all test phases to verify application readiness for production implementation
• Work with the project team to ensure quality throughout the product life cycle, including the identification and resolution of software defects
• Configure and manage test environments for software under test, including configuring web servers and reporting services
• Design and develop automated tests
• Validate developer-implemented resolutions to defects
• Applies knowledge and experience to identify and implement process improvement
• Develop quality assurance standards and processes
• Mentor and provide supervision and leadership
• Ability to diagnosis severity of problem and take a leadership role in problem resolution
• Ability to assess risk and take a leadership role in mitigation of risk
• Responsible for developing test strategies
• Responsible for overall quality effort of the product
• Responsible for certifying the product is ready for production

Required Skills

• Requires a four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related      discipline, equivalent experience
• Minimum four years' experience in software quality assurance testing and analysis
• Experience defining test strategies, test plans, comprehensive test cases and scripts
• Excellent hands-on knowledge of MS SQL Server, SQL and Windows  
• Ability to analyze requirements
• Ability to test internal structures or workings of an application as well as functional testing
• Excellent communication, presentation, technical writing, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced multi-tasking environment
• Excellent attention to detail and produce clearly written test documentation, configuration documentation, use and set up documentation, etc. 
• Solid background and experience in complex software test automation to ensure the quality of our products
• Experience with stress testing is preferred
• Demonstrate strong QA methodology, process and experience in automation implementation.
• Experience with the different Software test types: Manual, UI, automation, performance, functional, stress, unit test, web test, database test, load test
• Previous programming experience a plus
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Test Complete desirable
• Hospital IT/clinical domain experience a plus, organ transplantation IT/clinical experience is ideal
