Candidate should be experienced in writing manual test plans, test cases, and performing test execution. This individual should identify the appropriate level of automation to perform after reviewing through manual test plans for complex distributed systems. This resource should be experienced in data-driven, modular automation design and should have deep expertise in SQL. Candidate should be experienced with QTP and other Test Automation Tools. Candidate should be comfortable working with the manual testing teams to automate and turnover scripts for acceptance. Candidate should be comfortable leading a team of 1-3 other test engineers. Five years of experience is desired.

As a Product Verification Engineer II with Ab Initio development experience, you will work as a part of a dynamic team involved in testing of new development, enhancements and production defects of the existing Data Warehouse, extracts and applications. This role will involve the use of both manual and automated testing tools, test scripts, test plan creation, and defect tracking and reporting. This role requires Ab Initio experience, exceptional communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently to meet all target dates and expectations.
The Product Verification Engineer will be responsible for both leading activities and performing hands on testing. The qualified candidate will be able to:
Define approach to validating capabilities
Develop testing strategies and testing plans, including, functional testing, non-functional testing, regression testing, negative testing, deployment testing, ETL job execution (Control M) testing, and error handling testing
Work with business to understand requirements
Identify the types of testing and test scenarios to validate capabilities
Define and mock-up test data needed to execute testing
Work with operations team to coordinate the build of the testing environment for the initiative
Develop comprehensive and reusable test cases
Facilitate UAT activities with the business team
Track defects and report on testing progress and results
Qualified candidates must have experience with the following:
Ab Initio
Data warehousing
Test strategy and test plan development
Test data creation
Advanced SQL skills
Technologies include Ab Initio, DB2, Cognos, FTP, Toad, Quality Center, Clear Case, Control M, PowerPoint, Word and Excel |
