Title: Information Security Architect

Job Location: El Segundo, CA

Contract Length: 6-months+

 

 

Job Description:

Our customer is seeking an Information Security Architect who will assess and design security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, log management/security information and event management, anti-virus, mobile device management (MDM), and endpoint security. They are looking for someone who has strong expertise in either systems (servers, operating systems) and/or networking technologies (communication protocols, routers).

 

Responsibilities:

• Assesses and designs security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, log management/security information and event management, anti-virus, mobile device management (MDM), and endpoint security.
• Identify technology risks and independently evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of complex information technology controls over IT infrastructure security.
• Maintains a deep level of expertise in security domains areas. e.g., web application security, mobile device security, etc.
• Works with other security architects in product groups to ensure security reaches high quality standards by managing deficiencies or helping guide security requirements/objectives
• Provides consultation in security architecture design/review of projects and other activities involving the use of security technologies related to the web applications, mobile computing products and services.

 

Qualifications

• Security architecture review and design experience
• Must have strong expertise in either systems (servers, operating systems) and/or networking technologies (communication protocols, routers)
• Strong leadership, project and team building skills – ability to lead teams and drive projects and initiatives by working effectively with others with a demonstrated ability to work cross departmentally
• Team oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment. Strong collaborator – willingness to share ideas, documentation and best practices
• Knowledge of ISO 27000 or ISO 17799 or similar frameworks
• In depth knowledge on secure operating systems (Windows, UNIX), Databases (SQL)
• 5+ years experience minimum.
• Domain expertise on Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Proxies and DLP, Encryption, Authentication, Mobile Security
• Certifications like CISSP, CCIE, and CCNP preferred.
