Role: Hadoop / ETL Consultant

Location: San Francisco, CA

Duration: 12 Months

Start: ASAP 

Interview: F2F after Phone

Rate : $Open/hr

 

Job Description:

·         The ETL Consultant specializes in the design and development of the ETL environment, processes, programs, and scripts to acquire data from source systems and apply the data to the tables in the database.

·         This individual must have the skills necessary to understand the overall data warehouse architecture.

·         The ETL Consultant designs and builds the ETL environment with the specific toolset required by the client.

·         The ETL Consultant may also provide input to the database designer to optimize the data loading of the physical database.

·         Rate presented must be all-inclusive of travel & expenses. Consultant must be local or willing to relocate at own expense.

Skill Set Required:

·         Hadoop HiveQL experience - for ETL development

·         Expereince writing custom mappers / reducers for Hive in Java or Python

·         Java or Python programming experience

·         Strong communication skills

·         Participate in the design of hardware and software management processes

·         Excellent problem solving skills with demonstrated experience managing and resolving work requests and change requests

·         ETL expereince, Unix scripting

·         Light hadoop administration

·         Unit Testing
