Expression Engine/PHP Web developer:

 

Expert in using dynamic programming tools and languages to create web sites.

Able to work independently with PGW’s Corporate Communications Web Design Specialist to build and integrate interactive web sites and applications that support PGW’s initiatives.

Ability to demonstrate experience developing web applications and testing them on various browsers, enhancing and modifying them as necessary to ensure the best experience for the user.

Ability to architect websites, design data-driven applications, and find efficient client-server solutions.

In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and be able to communicate project status, issues, and resolutions is required. 

Must be familiar with responsive web design and able to execute fully responsive website development.

The person is responsible for all development aspects of PGW’s business and clients’ needs including web development, web maintenance, web hosting, email hosting, security, email development, and other technical requirements as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• UI Development
• HTML
• ExpressionEngine CMS
• PHP
• CSS (familiarity with LESS or SASS is a plus)
• JavaScript - jQuery UI and AJAX
• Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash
• Site optimization for speed and SEO development requirements
• HTML e-mails
• Back-End Development
• MySQL
• LAMP
• Oracle Database
• Command line interfaces
• WordPress theme and plugin development
• Bachelor’s Degree or Certificate in Development
• 3-5 years’ experience
• The ability to work independently as well as in a group and manage tasks from start to finish
• Ability to communicate ideas visually, verbally and in writing
• Excellent computer skills
• Creativity and enthusiasm
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including clients, community partners, students, service providers, and a diverse staff
