Sr. SQL DBA/Developer with Index, Portfolio, and Risk

Location: Manhattan, NY

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Must be local candidate. F2F interview is required.

 

This position is in Index, Portfolio, and Risk Solutions group. The growth in complexity of portfolio composition and market volatility has increased the strategic importance of robust portfolio analytics and performance benchmarks. Investors are seeking scalable systems to actively manage their portfolios with speed, ease and transparency.

POINT provides comprehensive solutions for every stage of the investment process. Risk and portfolio managers from the largest and most sophisticated money managers and hedge funds use point to manage their portfolios. Their positions are loaded overnight using our batch systems, they can then analyze the impact of potential trades intraday on their portfolios using our analytical tools and models. Point's extensive historical capabilities also allow its users understand which trades and decisions had the most impact on their performance versus their benchmarks.

 

This role requires a deep knowledge of SQL Server technologies.  Successful candidate will review bottlenecks in POINT database architecture and recommend solutions for more optimal processing.

The candidate should have experience in:

·         SQL Server replication – configuration, troubleshooting, and tuning

·         Database locking and blocking analysis

·         Database performance tuning

·         Experience with 2012-2014 AlwaysOn is a nice to have.
