Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The e-Commerce team is seeking a Back-End Web Developer. This position will be responsible for working with the E-commerce team and internal design teams to implement progressive back-end solutions for client e-commerce, Internet marketing, and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will be able to hand code site-wide features using Java, JSP, PHP, SQL, and functional / object-oriented JavaScript. The back-end web developer may also work on the client's blog updating the back-end functionality of our existing WordPress templates.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

MUST HAVE e-Commerce experience
Good problem solver
Good communication skills
Proficient with frameworks like Spring
Familiar with extending classes, implementing interfaces and working in JSP files
Familiar with multi threading
Familiar with a variety of design patterns Factory, Decorator, Singleton
Familiar with Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and Rest
Familiar with SEO
Proficient with DAO implementations / JNDI
Working knowledge of OSX / Linux CLI or a Windows alternative
DB Skills (SQL Server, Oracle, Postgresql)
SVN, Git
Familiar with IDEs and editors like: Eclipse, IntelliJ, Netbeans, Sublime Text, VIM, emacs
Staying up to date on the latest technologies and implementations
Ability to work well across multiple departments and independently, as well as the ability to interact productively within team setting
Excellent attention to detail, follow-up and organizational skills
Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
Stay abreast of new technology in the e-commerce and development space
Excellent communication skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

· 5-7 years direct experience developing interactive projects with a focus on front-end web and mobile applications

Experience using SASS (SCSS syntax) to build partials and mixins
Experience within a Linux / OSX CLI (Command Line Interface or a Windows alternative) to SSH into remote servers, run Compass (SASS), Git, SVN
Familiar with SEO
Knowledge of AMD tools like RequireJS
Proficient knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and object-oriented JavaScript design patterns
Professional experience working with one or more MVC frameworks for Java, Ruby, and/or PHP

· Has integrated 3rd party tracking software and/or Web Services
Demonstrates a clear understanding of usability, accessibility and web standards as well as emerging development trends
