Location: Herndon, VA

Duration: 6-9+ Months

Start: Immediate

Interview : Phone/Skype

 

We have an immediate need for an SQL Tuning resource. This is Oracle not SQL-Server.

 

Job Description:  

 

This can be a performance focused SQL developer or an Oracle DBA who is expert at resolving performance issues with a development team. 

Req write-up reads:  

• Initiate and drive SQL tuning and integration (with Java) efforts
• Monitor CPU and memory utilization (use OS tools) and profile SQL using AWR Review and optimize SQL variations used to initialize Object Model in Java
• Identify any other improvements with the client's DB.
• Resource is expected to show initiative and drive specific optimization tasks to closure.

Application is WebSphere ODM Rules using Java with Spring Batch to interact with the Oracle 11.x database on Linux.
